Lots of knitting going on!

Good morning Knit Buddies:

I have been a busy knitter – finally finished the Mallory Bag!

Then I moved on and have purchased lots of yarn since:

Lavender yarn for the Gabrielle Bag and Pink Yarn for the Ella Bag. The Gabrielle Bag will be the same pattern as the Mallory Bag – the Booga Bag. I found a cute pattern for The Ella Bag – it needs to be small since she will receive this on her 2nd birthday. She’s just a little girl!

Also…

and…

I’m excited for Knit Nite!

Peace and love and hugs,

Karen

Knit.1

I got the new Knit.1 magazine last night. Some fun stuff…. It is “the green issue” so it talks about some of the soy, bamboo, etc natural yarns. There aren’t a lot of the patterns in this one that I like sadly. I’ll bring it to knit nite tomorrow!

Beautiful day

My knitting has been suffering lately I’m sad to say. It was a gorgeous day out so I got a massage, planted some rhubarb, and went for a walk with my sweetie. I think I have about 5 minutes to knit before bed. I am really looking forward to knit nite friday though.

New Yarn

Hi Knit Buddies!

I’m so excited. I just felted the Mallory bag at the Yarn Cafe AND I purchased a lot a lot of new yarn!

Girl Yarn

I’ll be knitting two booga bags for two little girls. Birthday gifts and boy do I have a head start. No excuses like on the Mallory bag. I also purchased a little something for myself…I love the color!

I’m off to knit now.

Peace and love and hugs!

Knit Frosting for Cupcakes!

Good morning Knit Buddies:

Check this out: http://veganyumyum.com/2007/06/knit-night-cupcakes/

Too cute and very delicious I’m sure.

I’m on my way to the Yarn Cafe to get help with felting. I really want this Mallory Bag project to turn out right so I’m going to ask them to felt it. I’ll felt all of my other bags at home later.

I will also purchase MORE yarn! I’m ready for a new project (now that I completed that darn I-cord).

Peace and love and hugs,

Karen

Happy Sunday!

What a beautiful and HOT day here in MN! I spent the time relaxing on a deck next to a pool and a lake and finished knitting THE I-CORD -  yippee. I am so happy because it was little Mallory’s birthday a month ago :-(

I’m now ready to felt but I have not done it before. I have read about a few different ways to do it. How have you two done it? Help!

I hope you both had a wonderful weekend!

About us!

Dear A & T:

I put a little blurb in the ABOUT US link (I’m sure I’ll re-write it later – it’s early!). Wouldn’t it be fun if we all wrote something?

I think I’ll knit some I-cord today!

Enjoy Friday!

Peace and love and hugs,

Karen

Gloves in summer

I agree – it’s on the toasty side. Thought I’d take a picture of my fingerless gloves (Knitty pattern) which was a bit uncomfortably warm. I love the feel of the yarn but am doing another pair with just solid green so hopefully the cabling will show up. Guess it is the best way to do your first cabling project though. Mistakes? What mistakes?

Fingerless Gloves

Also included the booga bag that I am working on. The blue and green are the primary colors (probably stripe them) and then use the blue/green fun yarn as an accent somewhere.

Booga Bag

BTW – I am still loving the Denise needles. -Tammy

Too hot to knit!

Hello my Knitting Soul Sisters!

This is so exciting. Although I have to say, for me unfortunately, it has felt just a bit tooooooo hot to knit! This is just the thing to get me going! Knit Nite will help too.

So what are you all working on now? Especially you Miss-Hawaii-Knit-Everything-In-Site! It want to see it all.

I started a Felted Bag

I finished the bag portion. It’s for my “niece’s” 8th birthday and this is where I’m feeling no inspiration.

I am not a fan of the i-cord!

I’m looking for a new project – any ideas for me?

Keep knitting!

Peace and love and hugs,

Karen
